The series, which tells the story of four women who work in a TV talk show, is an original production of ViX together with Televisa Estudios and Argos.
ViX announced the start of production of its new original series Cómplices (working title), which has already begun shooting on location in Mexico City. The series, which tells the story of four women who work on a TV talk show, is an original idea by Lucía Mendez and Pedro Antonio Torres, written by Alfredo Ballesteros and Fernando Nolla.
Produced by Televisa Estudios and Argos, Cómplices will star Lucía Méndez, Marjorie De Sousa, Maribel Guardia, and Laura Flores. It also stars Ernesto Laguardia, Emmanuel Orenday, Paco De La O, and Mónica Del Carmen, among others.
The new ViX original tells the story of Maria José, Paula, Roberta, and Stacy, four mature women involved in producing a TV talk show. They are suddenly surprised by the death of the man who torments them in common: the producer of the show.
Now, they are suspected of having committed a murder, a crime of which they claim to be innocent but which will be the reason to unite and awaken to a new life. Ironically, death also buries their complexes and traumas, leading them to enjoy each day as if it were their last and become, with the help of a good dose of black humor, accomplices to happiness, love, and fulfillment.
Salvador Espinosa, Magaby García, Alfredo Ballesteros, and Fernando Nolla direct ViX’s original series, while Lucía Mendez, Inna Payan, Luis Salinas, Patricio Cordero, and Pedro Antonio Torres are executive producers.
