The Rose d’Or Latinos will return in January 2025 with Content Americas, recognizing the best programming from Latin America, the U.S. Hispanic market, Spain, and Portugal.
The second edition of the Rose d’Or Latinos Awards, recognizing the best in Latin American, US Hispanic, Spanish, and Portuguese programming, has opened for entry. The gala final will again run alongside Content Americas, adding a rich layer of creativity to the three-day market and conference.
The Rose d’Or Latinos, the inaugural edition of which received nearly 300 entries, are presented this year in 12 eligible categories: Drama series, Comedy or dramedy series, Miniseries or limited series, Telenovela, Documentary, TV movie or streaming film, Competition reality, Docu-reality or factual, Comedy or variety entertainment, Kids, Youth, and Audio. They have already enabled an online registration space for 2025.
In addition, the Rose d’Or Latinos will present a special individual Lifetime Achievement Award, which will be announced shortly.
Marcos Santana, former president of NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises and current CEO of Mas Ros Media, will chair the jury for a second year, ensuring the highest standards for the awards.
Santana said: “It is an honor to continue as chairman of the Rose d’Or Latinos Awards jury for a second year, following the successful launch in 2024. Established in 1961 by Swiss Television in Montreux, these awards have become an emblematic event for the European Broadcasting Union and the international television industry. Bringing them to the Ibero-American market has been a significant achievement and a notable recognition of our work in these regions”.
According to Santana, the creativity and diversity of the talent that produces these programs, both behind and in front of the cameras, has never before been recognized by such a prestigious and distinguished European-origin award as the Rose d’Or.
“The Rose d’Or Latinos will return in January 2025 alongside Content Americas to celebrate the best our industry has to offer, with new awards and an expanded presence of content. I am thrilled to be again part of the next growth stage for these prestigious awards,” Santana said.
