The Turkish group’s Sales and Business Development Manager spoke to ttvnews during this year’s Natpe Budapest about the international interest their newest drama is getting, as well as their newly announced partnership with DKL Studio.

Earlier this month, Turkish distributor Mediahub announced a new partnership with DKL Studio, led by renowned media pioneer Fadi Ismail, to distribute and co-produce Arabic series internationally.

With this new partnership MediaHub continues to bring in its strong distribution network and innovative know-how and expertise in curating content for location specific audiences with an eye on global expansion.

“We’re happy to announce we launched with DKL studio the distribution and post-production of Arabic content”, Sangerim Zhakhina, Sales and Business Development Manager at MediaHub said to ttvnews during the current edition of Natpe Budapest.

“We believe in the potential of that content,” she continued. “It’s very high-quality content for all platforms, so we’re happy to be presenting that and getting nice feedback.”

Present in Budapest, the Turkish producer and distributor is also showcasing its newest title, Alaca, which was first introduced to the international market last year at Mipcom and is now ready to travel the world.

“We are very happy to be here in Budapest to present our newest title Alaca, which we have finished post production on this Spring, over 120 episodes”, the executive said. “There’s lots of interest. We’ve already started some premieres in CEE and Western Europe. It’s been doing good. We’re already in discussions and negotiations in several countries”, she explained.

Alaca (125 x 42′), follows the story of a young village girl who, with an old lover divided between loyalties, a ruthless father who seeks his own benefit and a wound that will remain with her forever, must embark on a search for the truth that will take her to Istanbul. Oblivious to the fact that the people closest to her hold the keys to her past, Alaca must uncover the truth behind the heinous crime that changed her life forever.
