The spin-off of TNT’s hit franchise, The Librarians, will premiere in October in the US, with twelve episodes of a series in which some of the original cast returns. The title, which is distributed by Electric Entertainment, already has rights available for it to travel worldwide and is one of those brought to LA Screening.
This was announced to ttvnews by Raul Piña, Electric Entertainment’s Director of Distribution and Marketing, who commented that the new edition of The Librarians will be twelve episodes where most of the cast returns to this spin-off. “The original version was three movies, and then they made the series; it’s the most popular thing we have in our catalog; that’s why we decided to make this spin-off because everyone knows The Librarians, everyone can see it,” he said.
Another of Electric Entertainment’s titles gaining momentum during LA Screenings is Leverage, “It is another of the shows that was originally launched by the company’s television department, we had five original seasons with TNT in the US and we are in production of the third season with Amazon Prime. We also premiered the first two seasons with Freevee and it was so successful on this platform that they moved it to Prime,” said Piña.
