TTV 20 Years: Patricia Jasin

TTVNews celebrates its first 20 years, inviting friends and industry colleagues to share their personal experiences over the past two decades. Patricia Jasin, SVP, Content Sales Latam, Country Manager Colombia at WBD, answers “where were you 20 years ago?”

This 2024 marks the 20th anniversary of TTVNews, a big reason to celebrate for the group which is consolidating itself as one of the go-to media platforms in the audiovisual industry in Latin America.

And to mark the occasion, we’ve invited friends and colleagues to share their experiences, challenges and lessons learned over the last 20 years in this industry.

This time, Patricia Jasin, SVP Content Sales Latam, Country Manager Colombia at WBD, answers “where were you 20 years ago?”

Where were you 20 years ago?

20 years ago, or about 20 years ago, I was working in a company called Sixtus, which was a company that distributed films, so very similar to what I’m doing now, 20 years later, with very beloved people who stayed in the industry. We were in that company with Daniel Rodriguez, Francisco Morales, Rosma Morales, Javier Salgado, so we were a group of guys of younger people, very fun.

I remember that professional stage, very fun and personally I had my little daughters, I just arrived in the United States, so I had all this challenge of my personal life, I was a very busy woman, my life in general was a chaos, but I remember it, I have very good memories of that time.

What was your first industry event?

I am trying to remember what year I participated in the first international event, but it was a long time ago, and it was a Mipcom; I do remember that. I don’t know what year it was, but it was a Mipcom, so it was an overwhelming event for me because it was a huge event for being the first one, and I went alone, so I do remember that feeling.

Well, I always say that in this industry of the international content world, we are like a big family; the reality is that the press, for me, is my friend; we have evolved together, and we have known each other since we all started. Sebas and Sole are friends, apart from being colleagues, so the press has always been part of our life; clients, colleagues, competitors, and press, we are like a whole group formed together. We have learned a lot from each other, and I am super grateful to TTVNews and the entire team, who are lifelong friends. Congratulations on having stayed in such a solid way for so long.
