The production achieved a very relevant milestone by being recognized as Best Miniseries at the Canneseries 2023 International Festival.
El Hijo Zurdo, a Movistar Plus+ original production in collaboration with Atípica Films and created and co-directed by Rafael Cobos, will premiere on April 5 on Canal+ France. The miniseries, consisting of six thirty-minute episodes, will be available on demand on the French platform from that day on.
The arrival of El Hijo Zurdo on French screens coincides with the anniversary of its success at the prestigious Canneseries International Festival, where it was recognized as Best Miniseries in 2023.
The production, starring María León, deals with the complicated relationship between a mother and her son, the unexpected friendship between two women from very different worlds, and the search for a second chance.
Rafael Cobos created the series, which he directed with Paco R. Baños. María León stars in this story of identity and motherhood, giving life to a character as fragile as she is tough. Also starring are Tamara Casellas, Alberto Ruano, Marisol Membrillo, and young actors Hugo Welzel, Germán Rueda, and Numa Paredes.
