Carriere will now oversee key growth areas across the group, including Fremantle Sport, Branded Content & Licensing, Live Events, monetization of Music Rights & Deep Library.

Today we announce the expanded remit of Gabriella Carriere, who has been appointed Group Head of Strategy and New Business, adding new business to her existing responsibilities. In this new role, she will continue to report to Andrea Scrosati, Group COO and CEO Continental Europe.

Carriere will now oversee key growth areas across the group, including Fremantle Sport, Branded Content & Licensing, Live Events, monetization of Music Rights & Deep Library, while continuing to lead our Global Strategy.

Carriere will drive value creation, growth initiatives, and monetization of these areas across the Fremantle Group. Owain Walbyoff, Director of Fremantle Sports, and Roberta Zamboni, Global Head of Branded Content & Sponsorships will report to Carriere.

Carriere joined Fremantle in 2022 as Group Head of Strategy, where she has played a key role in driving the company’s global growth through cross-functional strategic projects.

Among other strategic initiatives, she has worked on launching the Global Documentaries business, the recently announced Fremantle Sports unit, post-M&A integration across multiple territories, and overseeing and developing our global Branded Entertainment strategy.

Prior to Fremantle, Carriere held senior strategic roles at Sky Italia, where she led high-impact initiatives such as securing major sports rights, including Serie A and UEFA Champions League, building strategic media partnerships with Netflix and Disney, and launching Sky’s broadband business. Her earlier career began in the energy sector with leadership positions at EDF and Edison, focusing on M&A, business development, and energy efficiency in Milan and Paris.
