Lemon Studios produce the series and has the complete first season on Apple TV+.

Las Azules is back to finish what it started. Apple TV+ announced the renewal of its acclaimed Spanish-language crime series Las Azules. Featuring an all-Latin American cast, the eight-episode second season of Las Azules is already in production.

Since its world premiere, Las Azules has received high praise for its fearless storytelling. It has been described as simply impeccable, with a gripping plot that deliciously blends thriller and comedy and exposes gender differences.

Fernando Rovzar and Pablo Aramendi, an International Emmy-winning director and host, created the series. Emmy-nominated Wendy Riss, Erica Sanchez Su, and Billy Rovzar, an International Emmy winner, are executive producers. The series is produced by Lemon Studios, an International Emmy Award-winning Company.

Set in 1971 and inspired by real events, the second season of Las Azules continues the story of four women who defied the ultra-conservative norms of the time by becoming Mexico’s first female police officer.

Bárbara Mori, Ximena Sariñana, Natalia Téllez and Amorita Rasgado return to star in the second season.

Now promoted to lieutenant, María (Mori) finds herself torn between the rules she is sworn to uphold and a relentless pull toward the truth when more victims follow the murder of a young college student and reveals a deeper conspiracy. Maria, Angeles (Sariñana), Gabina (Rasgado) and Valentina (Tellez) are drawn into a labyrinth of buried secrets and painful score-settling.

The complete first season of Las Azules is now available worldwide on Apple TV+.
