La plataforma de streaming consiguió un total de 160 nominaciones para la 72a edición de los Premios Emmy, seguida por HBO con 107. Por su parte, Disney+ consiguió su primera nominación gracias a The Mandalorian.
En una presentación como nunca antes realizada via Zoom, este martes la Academia de Artes y Ciencias de la Televisión reveló los nominados para la edición número 72 de los premios Emmy.
Según reveló la organización, este año se rompió un récord de programas en competencia, llegando a 767 producciones compitiendo para ser nominadas en más de 100 categorías, un 15% más que el año anterior.
La gran novedad fue Netflix, que lideró las nominaciones con un total de 160 y desbancó a HBO, que quedó segunda en la carrera con un total de 107 nominaciones (el año pasado HBO había liderado con 137 nominaciones contra 118 de Netflix9.
En cuanto a títulos individuales, Watchmen, el drama de HBO, fue el más nominado con 26 en total, incluyendo Mejor serie limitada, seguido por The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel de Amazon con 20, incluyendo Mejor comedia.
Las plataformas de streaming lideran, además, las principales categorías, donde series de Netflix, Amazon y Hulu compiten por mejor drama y mejor comedia, además de Disney+, que lanzada hace tan solo unos meses, ya logró su primera nominación gracias a The Mandalorian.
La ronda final de votación comenzará el próximo 21 de agosto y los ganadores serán anunciados el 20 de septiembre en una ceremonia presentada por Jimmy Kimmel.
