The Sony Pictures Television format was acquired by Chilean network Mega.

Amidst its revival with new versions in the UK, Argentina and one on the way in Spain, the format Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? is now returning to Chile as well, this time with Mega.

That at least, according to Chilean newspaper La Cuarta, which states Mega acquired the rights to adapt the Sony Pictures Television format, which originally aired in Chile on Canal 13.

This new version, the report adds, will be hosted by Diana Bolocco.

The format’s return to Chile comes after its success in Argentina, where it’s become a ratings’ sensaion, going from the 22 episodes originally ordered to the 60 it will have in its first season.

Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? is a Sony Pictures Television format adapted in over 120 territories around the world.

The show offers audience members the chance to win a million dollars through answering 15 questions on the way to the grand prize.
