Amazon Prime members in France and Germany now have free access to the channel.

Amazon Prime members in France and Germany now have direct access to the full breadth of French-language audiovisual programming broadcast by TV5Monde, thanks to a landmark distribution agreement.

With TV5Monde now integrated into the Prime Video interface, Prime members can discover the best French-language content produced in Africa, North America, Europe and the Maghreb at no additional cost.

They can also enjoy TV5Monde’s signature programs, including the arts show La Grande Galerie Francophone (every Sunday), Maghreb Orient Express, a magazine covering cultural news from the Arab world (every Saturday), and the monthly discovery and travel show Destination Francophonie.

“This agreement marks a new step in our hyperdistribution strategy. Our goal is clear: to meet audiences wherever they are and introduce them to French-language programming of unparalleled diversity,” said Kim Younes, CEO of TV5Monde.

In Germany, the TV5Monde channel on Prime Video is subtitled in German to make its programs accessible to all audiences. In France, a selection of catch-up programs is also available.

TV5Monde is also available in France through the packages of all internet service providers, and in Germany through Deutsche Telekom’s IPTV offering.
