The two companies will collaborate on developing premium scripted projects in Turkey and Spain, with an initial focus on building a slate of series to be produced as co-productions for linear broadcasters and global streaming platforms.

The collaboration will encompass both the adaptation of existing formats from each company’s catalogue and the creation of original content tailored for international audiences. By bringing together the storytelling traditions of both markets, the partnership aims to deliver distinctive, culturally resonant projects with global appeal. The collaboration is rooted in a shared ambition to blend distinct narrative sensibilities and production approaches, creating stories that feel both locally authentic and internationally scalable.

This agreement follows the launch of OGM Pictures’ international division, reinforcing the company’s commitment to expanding its global footprint through strategic creative alliances.

Onur Güvenatam, Founder and Producer of OGM Pictures, commented: “Bringing together different storytelling traditions creates new opportunities for layered and compelling narratives. Our collaboration with Grupo Ganga reflects our ambition to develop stories that can travel across borders while staying authentic to their roots.”

Miguel Angel Bernardeau, Founder and General Manager of Grupo Ganga, commented: “This union is not just an addition of teams; it is the multiplication of our creative capacity. By joining forces with OGM Pictures, we are in a privileged position to tackle larger-scale projects and international complexity”.

In the same vein, Santiago Gimeno, CEO of Squirrel Studios, the group to which Ganga belongs, stated: “Ganga is one of the most successful production companies in Europe, renowned since its inception for the quality and leadership of its productions, and serves as one of the strongest pillars of Squirrel Studios. Combining the talent of their team with OGM Pictures’s excellence is, without a doubt, a guarantee of success.”

Berna Levin, Head of International Production at OGM Pictures, added: “Since launching our international division, our focus has been on building meaningful creative partnerships. This collaboration with Grupo Ganga reflects that vision, enabling us to develop projects with both local depth and international reach.”

Esther Sánchez, Head of International Strategy at Grupo Ganga, stated: “Partnering with a company like OGM Pictures, known for its strong creative vision and internationally resonant storytelling, creates an exciting opportunity to develop projects that can travel across borders while remaining deeply rooted in their local identity. Together, we aim to build a slate of original and impactful stories for a global audience.”

The distributor made its way to Content Americas with a catalog led by some of the most successful Turkish dramas of the past few months, thriving through engaging and captivating stories.

Produced by Luis Cabrera and Ana Paula Carreira, from Miami

Under the original title Taşacak Bu Deniz, Deep in Love was one of last year’s biggest hits on Turkish TV. The drama, an OGM Pictures production for TRT 1, reached number one in the Friday primetime ratings late last year and stayed on top for several consecutive weeks.

“We’re very happy of course with the success of Deep in Love, not only locally but internationally”, said Ekin Koyuncu Karaman, Director of Global Distribution and Partnerships at OGM Universe. “So far our sales are very strong, not only Latam but also Russia, CIS, Middle East, Central Eastern Europe”.

“Each week the title is growing on TV but also on YouTube, with an average of 30 million views worldwide. It’s making us very proud. It’s a very unique title”, she added.

Created by Ayşe Ferda Eryılmaz and Nehir Erdem, and directed by Çağrı Bayrak, Deep in Love stars Ulaş Tuna Astepe, Deniz Baysal, Burak Yörük, and Ava Z. Yaman in a story that blends the mythical and the modern.

In the drama, Adil Koçari, the proud mountain leader, returns to reclaim the land and the love he lost, but a single shot from Esme Furtuna should have ended it all. Instead, everything begins anew. Their forbidden love unleashes a storm of revenge and desire, echoing an ancient legend in which the mountain and the sea can never touch, but never stop searching for each other.

“It takes place in the Black Sea with breathtaking views. It’s a beautiful production, very pleasant to watch. Very dynamic, with great balance between love, revenge and action. A true Romeo and Juliet story, an impossible love story”, she explained.

Another big title that OGM Universe is presenting to buyers from Latam is Reborn, which premiered in the second half of 2025 with notable ratings on Star TV, and despite its short run, stands as an excellent option for buyers in the region.

“Reborn was unfortunately cut short in Turkey. Sometimes it happens and we had to end the series with a very strong ending on the 13th episode. We are licensing with 42 commercial hours and we licensed it very recently to Ecuador, because we really believed in the cast and we really believed in the storyline. And it actually proved itself. It’s ranking in top two, sometimes number one, sometimes number two in the country. And it’s making us super proud,” she said.

“I think it’s going to set a great example for the rest of the territory. And other than that, we just closed a deal in English-speaking US for the title, for the first time. Cast has a big part of this decision”, she added.

Produced by Onur Güvenatam, directed by Burcu Alptekin, and written by Deniz Dargı, Cem Görgeç, and Mevsim Yenice, the series combines a captivating narrative with cinematic visuals and emotional intensity. At its core is a powerful cast: the chemistry between Kerem Bürsin and Lizge Cömert has been widely praised, while Sibel Taşçıoğlu and Deniz Çakır deliver outstanding performances alongside a rich supporting cast.

“Kerem Bursin and Liz Gecemert, they’re both amazing. Sibel Tascioğlu, who we know from One Love, another great series, is great as well. Therefore, with the cast, the storyline and the ending, everything is there and the production value is top-notch. I believe we will see Reborn in more screens in Latin America very soon”, she anticipated.

In regards to the Latin American market, the executive believes there’s still potential and room for many more Turkish stories, as long as the quality is there.

“The market is active right now. Some territories are focusing on local productions and non-scripted formats. But there are so many opportunities all around,” she said. “Right now, Brazil is very active. Peru, US, Panama, Ecuador, many, many territories, they have very strong Turkish slots going for them. I think they’re coming back to looking at the stories more”.

“Now the stories matter. Ratings matter, yes, but everybody is after good stories. And that’s why I feel really lucky because as OGM Pictures, we’re always the production side. They’re always focusing on the human touch, always focusing on the real stories, real feelings that everyone globally can relate to our stories”.

“So therefore, for us, we’re very happy with the outcome of this market. And also how we are monetizing our content in Latin America and how we’re expanding gradually in Latin America. We’re very, very happy and proud”, she concluded.

In her new role, Levin will work closely with OGM Pictures founder Onur Güvenatam to lead the launch and ongoing growth of OGM Pictures’ international arm, a newly formed division dedicated to the production of premium international series and feature films.

OGM Pictures has appointed seasoned producer Berna Levin as Head of International Production, strengthening the company’s ambitions in the global scripted arena.

In her new role, Levin will work closely with OGM Pictures founder Onur Güvenatam to lead the launch and ongoing growth of OGM Pictures’ international arm, a newly formed division dedicated to the production of premium international series and feature films.

The appointment represents a significant step for OGM Pictures, long recognized as one of Turkey’s most influential drama producers and a key exporter of high-end storytelling. The new division will focus on English-language projects for the U.S. and U.K. markets, alongside local-language series and films across Europe, Latin America, and the MENA region.

The strategy centers on a curated slate of elevated, character-driven narratives with strong cross-border potential.

Levin’s international career spans Los Angeles, London, and the Nordics, where she has worked across elevated, character-driven drama with a strong international footprint. She brings extensive experience in co-production, co-financing, and cross-territory development, backed by a broad network and deep fluency in global production ecosystems.

“OGM Pictures has demonstrated that deeply emotional, culturally specific storytelling can travel anywhere,” Levin said. “Onur and his team have built one of the most dynamic creative engines in the region, and the opportunity to join forces with them at this moment of expansion into other territories is incredibly exciting. In a moment when the world feels unsettled, audiences are gravitating toward distinctive, well-crafted stories that help them connect and make sense of things. OGM Pictures consistently delivers work that speaks to that need with precision and emotional depth, and I’m looking forward to taking that strength into new territories.”

OGM Pictures’ strategy includes forging long-term alliances with global talent, producers, regional broadcasters, and international streamers. The division will also pursue innovative financing structures that allow the company to originate and co-own premium IP with broad international appeal. A key component will be expanding OGM’s co-production partnerships, integrating creative and financial resources from multiple territories, and shaping projects with global audiences in mind from the earliest stages of development.

Güvenatam highlighted the strategic importance of Levin’s appointment: “Berna’s experience in developing and producing ambitious, internationally driven projects makes her uniquely suited for this role,” he said. “Her grounding in Turkish culture, combined with her deep experience in international markets, gives her a rare ability to bridge perspectives. Together, we’re building a slate that reflects OGM Pictures’ creative identity while positioning us as a major partner for global co-productions. We aim to work with leading creative voices around the world and deliver series and films that resonate far beyond any single market.”
