MediaHub has completed a licensing agreement with MBC Group’s Shahid for four Korean drama titles from KT Studio Genie: Parole Examiner Lee, Unlock My Boss, Mother and Mom, and Pale Moon.

KT Studio Genie is the content studio of Korea Telecom, one of South Korea’s leading telecommunications and media groups. MediaHub added the four titles to its international distribution slate as part of a broader distribution agreement with KT Studio Genie covering a slate of Korean scripted series late last year.

The four dramas span a range of genres, from legal and crime stories to family and psychological drama. Parole Examiner Lee follows a former correction officer turned lawyer navigating the legal system for powerful criminals.

Unlock My Boss follows an unemployed young man who discovers a smartphone containing the spirit of tech CEO.

Mother and Mom focuses on a working mother determined to secure the best education for her young daughter, enlisting her own mother to help navigate the intensely competitive environment.

Pale Moon, follows a bored housewife who takes a contract position at a bank and begins to regain her confidence and independence, and becoming entangled in the financial affairs of wealthy clients.

The Shahid deal draws on MediaHub’s international catalogue, which brings together scripted and unscripted content from a range of territories alongside the company’s Turkish originals slate. In addition to its Korean titles, the catalogue includes content from various territories, spanning across Europe, LATAM and CIS, and other international markets.

With production by Luis Cabrera, from Croatia

Turkish distributor Mediahub has made its way to Croatia for a new edition of NEM Dubrovnik, with a catalog of varied titles, both dramas and formats, suited for audiences in the CEE region.

First off, the distributor is presenting two dramas, Take My Hand and Close to You, which made their debut in Los Angeles, where “reception was really great”, said Elif Turna, Sales and Business Development Manager at Mediahub.

In Take My Hand, after a tragic accident binds them together, Aslan -the heir to a powerful dynasty- and Elvan, a young woman betrayed by her own family, enter a marriage of convenience born from guilt and sacrifice. In Close to You, after losing her daughter Mavi, Deniz donates her child’s heart to save another girl, Ada. Struggling with grief, she secretly becomes Ada’s nanny. As she grows close to the girl and falls in love with her father, Ateş, Deniz hides the painful truth.

“Close to You is more focused on a relationship between a mother and a lost daughter. It’s very touchy and heartbreaking. Take My Hand is more on the romance side. It’s about fake marriage becoming a real marriage,” Turna said. “I think these two storylines are important for audiences because they are very sensitive.”

“Here in this market, we are also highlighting a new title called Roses. It’s a good title in terms of having those must-have Turkish elements,” she added.

Roses follows Pars, who discovers his biological father is alive and is thrust into a new world as the unexpected heir of the wealthy Akabey family. Leaving behind his poor life in Adana, he steps into an unfamiliar life in Istanbul. To end a long-standing family feud, Pars marries Asya -a woman he has never met- despite still being haunted by the memory of Gül, who abandoned him because of his poverty.

In addition to hit Turkish dramas, Mediahub is also presenting its other productions, including successful factual titles such as Stop Border Control.

“Last year, we have licensed it to the Nova channel (Bulagria), so it was very successful for us,” she said. “We hope to continue licensing upcoming seasons. There’s increased appetite for this type of content, because of the current political situation. I think the audience is more interested in this type of series.”

“And as for drama, we are also representing Greek titles,” she said. “It’s a very important beginning for us, because these titles also come from the Mediterranean side. The CEE region is a small territory compared to Latin America, but they share very sumilar cultures. The look-and-feel is very similar, so we think Greek content will relate to CEE audiences very quickly.”

The executive highlighted two new titles in their Greek content catalog: Terra Olivia (Land of Olives), “one of the longest-broadcast series on Greek TV”, she said. “It’s like a telenovela, yet, the story is very universal in terms of audience, romance and thriller.”

“We also have a title called Shipwreck, which focuses on real events,” she added. “So it can be something very interesting for the audience, because they always like to watch true events.”

By Luis Cabrera, from Los Angeles

Mediahub continues to strengthen its presence in Latin America with several of its Turkish titles and is already anticipating new deals for Bitter Justice across the region. This was revealed to ttvnews by Elif Turna, who also highlighted the sustained performance of Alaca (Scars of the Soul) and the success of Stop Border Control Chile.

“Probably within a month, we will announce new deals for Bitter Justice,” Turna said regarding the negotiations the distributor is currently conducting in Latin America.

The executive explained that MediaHub has been working on the title with regional buyers since the beginning of the year.

“We have been in contact for a long time with many clients and buyers from Latin America, since Content Americas, to introduce our new title Bitter Justice. And so far, the feedback we’ve received has been incredible, both about the story and the characters,” she said.

“Buyers connected very well with the content, and they also shared very positive comments with us,” she added.

Turna also highlighted the strong performance of Alaca, marketed in Latin America under the title Scars of the Soul.

“It has performed excellently. In fact, TC from Ecuador informed us that even the reruns are still performing incredibly well, which is great news for us,” she commented.

According to Turna, MediaHub continues to strengthen its relationship with Latin American buyers amid a challenging market environment.

“In general, in Latin America there is this decline, as all my other colleagues are also mentioning. But at the same time, as MediaHub, we always try to stay in constant contact with our partners,” she said.

“With the help of our strong team, we can support buyers according to their needs. Because, as you know, these are also difficult times for them,” she added.

The executive also emphasized that the company’s experience in the Latin American market allows it to develop content specifically tailored for the audience.

“Kerim Emrah Turna, the founder of the company, has been in this industry for a very long time. That’s why he has analyzed the needs of Latin American audiences for years: what the must-have elements are, what works and what doesn’t,” she explained.

“That gives us the flexibility to create stories and characters designed specifically for this audience. We know the formula, we know what works and what doesn’t,” she said.

Turna also highlighted MediaHub’s operational flexibility with regional broadcasters.

“We are always flexible with our buyers and TV channels. When they need changes in terms of scheduling, we are always happy to adapt to their conditions,” she stated.

Asked about the possibility of incorporating Arabic productions into the company’s catalog, the executive said there is potential to replicate the success Turkish dramas achieved in the region.

“A few years ago, we had conversations about adding Arabic titles to the catalog. The production quality and the stories are excellent,” she commented.

“In the past, Turkish dramas were something new and not very well known in Latin America, but then they became very successful. There is a possibility that the same could happen with Arabic titles,” she added.

“I’m someone who believes in stories. Regardless of the country of origin, if the title is good, the story is solid, and the characters are strong, I believe it can succeed anywhere,” she said.

In formats, Turna also celebrated the performance of , recently licensed to .

“The latest license was with TVN Chile for Stop Border Control Chile, the new season. And they informed us that the title is performing really well, so we are in talks to produce a second season,” she revealed.

“The Border Control franchise has been a very interesting title for Latin American audiences because, considering the ongoing and current issues, it becomes very compelling content,” she concluded.

Produced by Luis Cabrera and Ana Paula Carreira, from Miami

Making the rounds in all the main industry tradeshows, Turkish drama Bitter Justice is one of the most in-demand titles in Mediahub’s catalog, and has continued to draw in buyers at the current edition of Content Americas in Miami.

“We first introduced Bitter Justice at Mipcom”, Elif Turna, Sales and Business Development Manager at Mediahub, said to ttvnews. “It’s a very international market so we collected great news”.

“Afterwards, we got the chance to present it to buyers from Latam at Mip Cancun”, she continued. “And between the two markets, we also received great feedback from our buyers. Now, here in Miami, we had the chance to show the title to buyers we couldn’t meet with in Cancun”.

Bitter Justice (Aşka Mahkum) premiered on August 16 on Bi Kanal, Turkey’s new national channel. The production, with a script focused on revenge, power, and second chances, is the second project from Globalsphere Studios, a MediaHub subsidiary, in co-production with Nöbetçi Yapım.

Creative direction was handled by Eliz Arkayın-Ungan, who recently joined the studio. The main roles include Shadi Tabarsa, Metehan Cemil Varol, Ümit Olcay, Ejder Karslıgil, Öykü Çakar, Elif Hilal Yalçın, Merve Kurç, Sefer Cambaz, Elif Sima Kurt, Fatih Doğan, Mira Sude Güneş, Alya Mira Türkeş and the legendary Yeşilçam actor Ahmet Mekin.

Aside from Bitter Justice, the executive celebrated a new premiere for Stop! Border Patrol, which is making its debut today in Chile. “There will also be new seasons made in Venice and Mexico,” she revealed. “It’s good news”.

Produced by Luis Cabrera, from Cannes, France

Turkish distributor Mediahub is present once again at Mipcom in Cannes to showcase the latest additions to its successful catalog of Turkish dramas, which this year is led by Bitter Justice, fresh from a very promising debut and ready to meet new partners in the international market.

“Bitter Justice is our new product for this year. We are launching it here at Mipcom,” Elif Turna, Manager of Sales and Commercial Development at Mediahub, said to ttvnews in Cannes.

“We’ve received so much great feedback. We’ve already signed some deals and are working on more. It’s a very nice and beautiful story about a young girl who is fighting for her life. She finds love in an unexpected time”, she explained.

Bitter Justice is currently airing weekly on Wednesdays in prime time in Turkey. From the very beginning, the series has generated remarkable buzz and strong viewership. Audiences have truly cherished the story; its mix of high emotional stakes, suspenseful twists, and layered characters has resonated deeply.

Another big original title Mediahub is presenting in Cannes is the already successful Alaca, which found notable ratings in Ecuador and is ready to continue traveling across the region. To this end, the distributor will present both titles with Spanish dubbing at the upcoming Mip Cancun.

Why have these titles achieved such notable success? According to the executive, it’s all about staying true to their roots. “It’s completely traditional Turkish drama where you can find all the elements about passion, love, revenge, family secrets… Instead of focusing on modern stories, as Mediahub, we know the taste of our audience and we know that they really love traditional Turkish drama, so we are sticking to that”, she explained.

“Our goal is to produce one new title, one new project each year. So, we are trying to keep this momentum. At the same time, we are, of course, proceeding to acquire ready-made titles to distribute,” she added.

As for these ready-made titles, Mediahub has a long and varied catalog to offer, with two new dramas that have recently been added for the international market.

“Aside from our newest production, Bitter Justice, we will also start to distribute two new Turkish dramas: Close to You and Take My Hand”, she revealed.

This success is perfectly represented at this year’s Mipcom, where Mediahub is debuting a new stand. “This year we are very proud and it’s very exciting. We have been receiving such great feedback from our both colleagues and clients saying that the expansion, with regards to stand and the design, everything is showing how much effort we’ve put throughout this year”, she said.

“And it’s a reflection of that. Hearing such kind and positive feedback is always encouraging for us to do more and support our clients with better content, better services all the time. So, we couldn’t be happier than this”, she explained.

MediaHub has onboarded two critically acclaimed Dutch limited series from Dutch CORE, Childhood Dreams and Laura H., for select territories.

This is the first time MediaHub is representing European scripted content, broadening its library beyond its signature long running scripted content with an emphasis on Turkish dramas, and its collaborations with international partners such as ABS-CBN.

Childhood Dreams (De droom van de jeugd), produced by Topkapi Series, is a nine-episode family saga that premiered at Canneseries and went on to win the Best Drama Award at the New York Festival TV & Film Awards. Tracing five decades from the 1960s onward, it tells the story of a family bound by love, resilience, and shifting identities, making it a sweeping event drama with both emotional intimacy and historical scope.

Laura H., produced by Tomtit Film and Mockingbird Productions, is a six-episode limited series adapted from the bestselling book by journalist Thomas Rueb. Based on the true story of a young Dutch mother who claims she was taken by her husband Ibrahim to the IS occupied area, the series unfolds as a tense, multi-layered narrative questioning whether Laura was a victim or complicit. Laura H. has been nominated in the category “Best Screenplay Drama Series”, at the Netherlands Film Festival, where supporting actor Bilal El Aumoari took home the Golden Calf for his role underlining its critical recognition. Its roots in a real case make it especially attractive for international buyers seeking dramas inspired by true events.

MediaHub supports a vast library of scripted and unscripted content which will be in exhibition during MIPCOM this year with a selection of new titles including but not limited to Childhood Dreams and Laura H. at stand location P-1.G50.
