ITV Studios also announced a new scripted label in Australia and partnerships to expand its formats business.

ITV Studios unveiled a series of international distribution, production and representation agreements on Monday during its traditional Mipcom Cannes press breakfast, led by new drama sales, The Voice reaching 80 territories and the creation of a new Australian label focused on premium scripted content.

Among the highlights is HBO Max’s acquisition of Tip Toe, the new drama from Russell T Davies, for 32 Latin American countries, including Mexico, Argentina and Brazil. The deal follows previously announced sales covering another 36 countries.

The distributor also confirmed major agreements for Number 10, Adultery, The Dark, The Killings at Parrish Station and Sherlock, while continuing to expand its international production and entertainment formats operations.

New International Drama Sales

Number 10, Steven Moffat’s new drama produced by Hartswood Films for Channel 4, has welcomed Arte as a co-producer, with broadcast rights for France and Germany. Ahead of its planned 2027 premiere, the series has also been acquired by HBO Max in Australia, TVNZ in New Zealand, YLE in Finland, DR in Denmark and NRK in Norway.

The six-part series, starring Rafe Spall, Jenna Coleman and Katherine Kelly, offers a witty look at life inside 10 Downing Street, combining politics, personal relationships and government crises.

ITV Studios has also added Sherlock, the acclaimed Hartswood Films series for the BBC starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman, to its international catalog. Since its addition, the distributor has secured deals across 62 countries, including Disney+ in more than 50 territories across EMEA and Stan in Australia.

Meanwhile, Adultery, a drama from Poison Pen Studios starring Dominic Cooper and Romola Garai, has secured pre-sales in 18 countries, including HBO Max in Australia, TVNZ in New Zealand, TV4 in Sweden and TV2 in Norway.

Another Poison Pen Studios production, crime thriller The Dark, has been acquired in 23 countries, with deals including TV4 in Sweden, TV2 in Norway, MTV3 in Finland, DR in Denmark, BritBox in Australia and Virgin Media Television in Ireland.

The Killings at Parrish Station, a thriller produced by HELIUM Pictures for Stan and starring Mia Wasikowska, has secured deals covering more than 70 countries. Newly announced buyers include Canal+ in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, TV4 in Sweden, TV2 in Norway and Denmark, and MTV3 in Finland.

These agreements follow previously announced deals with Warner Bros. Discovery for HBO Max in the UK, Ireland, Germany and the Netherlands, and with NBCUniversal for Spain, France, Poland and additional territories across EMEA and Asia-Pacific.

“We are thrilled to announce extensive international sales across our slate of top-tier dramas. From the exciting upcoming dramas Number 10 and Adultery, to The Dark, The Killings at Parrish Station, Tip Toe, and the global phenomenon Sherlock, these deals are a testament to the exceptional quality and global appeal of ITV Studios’ latest drama portfolio,” said Tom Clark, EVP Global Sales & Commercial Strategy, Global Partnerships at ITV Studios.

The Voice Reaches 80 Territories

In entertainment, ITV Studios announced that The Voice has reached its 80th territory, with Elitaz producing The Voice Estonia for TV3, set to premiere in 2027.

The agreement follows the addition of North Macedonia as the format’s 79th territory, through public broadcaster Macedonian Radio Television (MRT).

According to ITV Studios, the franchise now counts 164 unique adaptations, while 33 local versions returned with new seasons during 2025.

The company also highlighted new commissioning and funding models involving partnerships between broadcasters and streaming platforms.

In Ukraine, 1+1 has partnered with Netflix to bring The Voice back after a three-year absence, while in Brazil, Disney+ and SBT collaborated on a version broadcast simultaneously across both platforms.

In the US, the show’s 30th season introduced a TikTok partnership allowing audiences to vote directly through the platform, alongside companion content and live broadcasts. The season premiere attracted 7.8 million viewers across NBC and Peacock during its first seven days.

“Reaching 80 territories is an extraordinary milestone for The Voice. The show continues to evolve through new on-screen twists, digital partnerships and commissioning models, while remaining true to its mission of giving exceptional voices a platform,” Clark said.

New Scripted Label in Australia

ITV Studios Australia announced the appointment of Sara Richardson, previously Director of Scripted Television at Endemol Shine Australia, to lead a new premium drama production label.

Richardson will serve as Managing Director of the new company, whose name will be announced at a later date, and will work closely with Lingo Pictures, which is also part of ITV Studios.

The executive has extensive experience in scripted production, including the development of NCIS: Sydney for Paramount+ Australia and series such as RFDS, The Claremont Murders, Bali: 2002 and Underbelly: Vanishing Act.

The new label will focus on developing original Australian productions with international potential, working in close collaboration with Lingo Pictures, founded by Helen Bowden and Jason Stephens.

“Setting up a label within ITV Studios is an extraordinary opportunity and doing that in partnership with Lingo Pictures, one of Australia’s most trusted producers of premium drama, creates a foundation with real power behind it,” Richardson said.

Partnership to Expand Formats Across India and MENA

ITV Studios also announced a strategic partnership with Different Productions, the company behind Netflix reality shows Dubai Bling and Desi Bling, to represent a selection of its formats across India, the Middle East and North Africa.

The agreement covers eight formats for potential Hindi-language adaptations in India, including The Voice, Love Island, Apocalypse and I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!.

Across MENA, Different Productions will represent a separate portfolio of nine formats, including I Love My Country, Come Dine with Me, The Heat and I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!.

Mazen Laham, Founder and CEO of Different Productions, highlighted the opportunities to adapt these franchises for local audiences and expand the company’s activities in India.

ITV Studios Acquires Incognito, Derren Brown’s New Format

ITV Studios has acquired the international distribution rights to Incognito, a social experiment created by Derren Brown and produced by Vaudeville Productions for Channel 4.

The six-part series brings together ten strangers from different backgrounds who spend seven days in a mysterious institution. Each participant has an identity that leads others to make certain assumptions, and they believe their objective is to uncover the identities of the other players while keeping their own hidden.

However, the competition is part of a broader psychological experiment exploring prejudice and the ways people judge others.

“Incognito is a bold, timely and highly entertaining format built around a universally relevant idea: how quickly we judge people based on labels and assumptions,” said Mike Beale, Managing Director, Global Creative Network at ITV Studios.

Jeremy Wade Returns with Fish On!

Zoo 55, ITV Studios’ digital label, announced a partnership with Oxford Scientific Films to produce Fish On! With Jeremy Wade, a new vodcast starring the presenter of River Monsters.

The 20-episode production will be co-hosted by Scott Tankard, Wade’s friend and collaborator. Together, they will revisit stories, encounters and experiences from the original series, alongside guests who worked on the show.

The vodcast will launch on Patreon on October 20, followed by its public release across digital platforms on October 27.

According to ITV Studios, River Monsters aired in 195 countries, while its social media content generated more than 1.74 billion views over the past year.

Karen Pirie Renewed for Third Season

Finally, ITV confirmed that Karen Pirie will return for a third season, with Lauren Lyle reprising her leading role.

World Productions, part of ITV Studios, will produce an adaptation of The Skeleton Road, the third novel in Val McDermid’s crime series, with a screenplay by Gillian Roger Park.

The new installment will consist of six hour-long episodes, with filming scheduled to begin in 2027.

The second season averaged 5.3 million viewers on ITV and STV, peaking at 5.6 million, and generated 11 million streams across ITVX and STV Player, according to figures released by the company.

The series will be distributed internationally by ITV Studios.

ITV Studios unveils 10 exciting new titles on its Mipcom formats slate. This broad slate features challenging game shows, high-stakes celebrity reality and thoughtful factual entertainment. These bankable entertainment brands suit every budget and are sourced from a wide variety of countries, including New Zealand and Sweden.

Mike Beale, Managing Director, Global Creative Network at ITV Studios, said: “We are very excited to have curated a range of formats from varied territories and at different price points to help deliver programming to all buyers for all available slots. With many of these formats returning for second seasons or airing across multiple territories, we are pleased to deliver a lineup with a track record of success.”

Leading the formats slate The Chase Around the World (6×60, produced by Bright Entertainment for ITV), a new city-hopping treasure hunt spin off of ITV’s award-winning and globally successful game show, The Chase.

This brand-new six-part series sees six pairs attempt to track down the biggest brains in Britain – all six of The Chasers – in undisclosed locations across Europe. Unravelling puzzles along the way, the winning pair will pit their knowledge against The Chasers in order to win a life-changing prize pot.

Also new to the slate, following a highly successful launch in Sweden, where it became the #1 commercial title in its timeslot, outperforming the slot average by 60%, and has been commissioned for a second season, is the high-stakes endurance experiment Expedition into the Wild (12×60, produced by ITV Studios Sweden for Kanal 5).

Eight celebrity city dwellers with almost no survival skills are dropped into a remote natural environment for 18 days. Paired up with only basic tools, limited food and each other to rely on, they must build shelter, source supplies and tackle survival challenges where every win could change their fate.

From Perpetual Entertainment, Celebrity Escape (6×60 for Three in New Zealand) sees seven highly competitive comedians take on one of the most popular and fastest-growing activities in the world – the escape room.

Working as a team, each episode sees them navigate the puzzles, clues, and scares of a new themed room before voting out their competition. All the while, a comedian “Games Master” watches from the control room, chiming in to help (or hinder) as they see fit.

Over six episodes, alliances shift, egos clash, and pressure builds as the group shrinks. In the finale, the last two contestants face a head-to-head escape where only one can win.

From South Shore a creative new food-entertainment series Next on the Menu (4×60, for Channel 4), sees four food superfans battle to create the next menu hit for an iconic global brand, from Wagamama and KFC to Taco Bell and Krispy Kreme.

Each contestant must pitch, prototype, and perfect their dream dish with their creations then stress-tested for taste, kitchen feasibility, and trialled with real customers, to win a coveted place Next On The Menu.

Also new to the slate, BINGE’s biggest unscripted original launch since 2024 and one of Channel 4’s biggest young-skewing entertainment launches of 2026, Apocalypse (8×60) is a bold new social experiment from The Garden and ITV Studios Australia.

The series sees 16 ordinary people enter a jaw-dropping and real abandoned town that bears all the hallmarks of being ravaged by an apocalyptic event. With no running water, heating, or electricity, they must survive for 28 days, scavenging for food and supplies and by reusing and repurposing anything they find.

Following its success as the BBC’s biggest new factual series since 2025, the hit series Secret Garden (5×60, produced by Plimsoll Studios) joins ITV Studios’ formats slate.

Secret Garden uncovers the extraordinary wildlife stories hidden in the places we know best. Each episode follows one remarkable garden over an extended period, capturing dramatic animal behaviour rarely witnessed by human eyes – from raising families and defending territories to hunting, courting and surviving the changing seasons.

Also on the slate is the transformational reality format How to Clean Up for Cash (6×30, produced by MultiStory Media for ITV) where loved ones secretly seek help for a family member or friend whose clutter has taken over their home.

While the unsuspecting homeowner is away for 48 hours, an expert team clears, sorts and values years of accumulated belongings, transforming the space that has become overwhelmed by clutter.

Based on the iconic US game show that originally debuted on NBC in 1953, Name That Tune (9×60, produced by Bright Entertainment for ITV) is returning to the UK in 2027 after 29 years off air.

Name That Tune is a global staple of entertainment with huge international appeal, with over 25 countries, including Australia, France, Germany, and Italy, having produced localised versions of the show across the last seven decades. Accompanied by the Name That Tune Live Band and led by a celebrity host, contestants race against the clock (and each other) to identify legendary tracks across various genres and eras.

Also new to the slate is The Ultimate Summer Star (24×30, produced by Magga og Anders and ITV Studios Denmark for TV2 Echo)—a sun-soaked spin-off of the smash-hit Norwegian format The Ultimate Christmas Star, which continues to deliver strong ratings with a 13% increase in total viewers from season two to three in Norway, with a fourth season returning this December, a third season returning in Denmark, and a newly announced first season in Sweden.

Chaos unfolds as 24 celebrities head to a lakeside cabin to compete in a line-up of bonkers challenges. From laugh-out-loud antics to outdoor adventures, the tasks are silly, light-hearted and packed with warm-weather fun, as they compete to be crowned The Ultimate Summer Star.

And finally, from Bandicoot, The Joy of Pets (5×60 for ITV) is a warm-hearted factual entertainment format celebrating the extraordinary bond between people and their animals.

This format travels across the country uncovering uplifting, emotional and often surprising stories of pets, their owners and the veterinary professionals dedicated to their care. Each episode combines behind-the-scenes access to a local veterinary practice, a community roadshow featuring expert advice and audience interaction, and inspiring local stories that showcase the life-changing impact animals have on the people around them.

As the Latin American TV market continues to evolve, buyers across the region are becoming increasingly selective in the types of scripted content they acquire. With platforms balancing audience engagement, brand positioning, and tighter budgets, the demand for premium international dramas that combine strong storytelling with recognizable talent remains high.

Against this backdrop, ITV Studios arrives at this year’s LA Screenings with a diverse slate designed to meet the changing needs of broadcasters and streaming platforms alike.

From psychological thrillers and emotionally driven dramas to true crime stories with genre-bending twists, the company’s latest lineup reflects a growing appetite for distinctive, high-impact storytelling. Titles such as The Dark, The Party, Tip Toe, and The Killings at Parish Station showcase the breadth of genres and creative voices now shaping the international drama landscape. At the same time, established IP and returning franchises continue to play an important role for buyers seeking reliable audience performance across multiple territories.

In the following interview with ttvnews, Catalina Ramirez, VP Sales, US and Latin America at ITV Studios discusses which upcoming titles from the group’s slate are generating the most excitement for Latin America, the trends currently influencing scripted acquisitions in the region, and how buyers are navigating the balance between proven hits and new launches.

Which titles from ITV Studios’ drama slate do you believe have the strongest potential in Latin America, and why?

One of the titles I’m personally most excited about is The Dark. It’s a true crime story with a horror edge, almost with subtle slasher undertones, and it’s one of those shows that keeps you completely hooked, episode after episode. It has that “just one more” quality that audiences really respond to. It’s one of the first and much anticipated titles from Ben Stephenson’s Poison Pen and it will air on ITV in the UK.

We’re also thrilled to be launching The Party at our event, a suspenseful psychological thriller led by the brilliant Luke Evans. The story unfolds over the course of a single explosive night at a billionaire’s birthday party, slowly revealing a decades-old crime. It’s incredibly tense, very character-driven, and feels premium in every sense. This show is an adaptation of Elizabeth Day’s best-selling political thriller novel of the same name.

Sarah Solemani (Him & Her) has written and stars in the adaptation and it’s produced by the brilliant producer World Productions known for Line of Duty and Vigil.

Another standout for us is Tip Toe, starring Alan Cumming, who is truly exceptional in this role. It’s a powerful and emotionally rich story that explores difficult themes, but does so with a real sense of beauty and humanity. It’s written by the brilliant Russell T Davies and produced by Nicola Schindler’s Quay Street Productions, behind huge hits like Fool Me Once and It’s A Sin.

I’m also very excited about The Killings at Parish Station, starring Mia Wasikowska. What I find especially compelling is how it blends investigative drama with subtle horror elements, unfolding across two timelines and creating a really atmospheric, eerie tone. This is an Australian production from HELION Pictures for Stan.

And more broadly, what’s exciting about this slate is that each show brings something very distinct to the table, whether it’s tone, genre, or storytelling style, which gives our partners in the region a lot of flexibility depending on their audience and platform needs.

What key elements are currently resonating most with LATAM buyers when it comes to scripted drama?

It really varies depending on the platform and whether the content is intended for broadcasters, fast channels or streaming, as each has very different programming strategies and audience expectations.

That said, across the board, we’re seeing that buyers in Latin America are looking for content that delivers both immediate impact and long-term value. Strong, recognizable IP continues to be very important, as it brings built-in awareness and helps cut through in an increasingly competitive market.

At the same time, there’s a clear demand for stories that connect emotionally with audiences, content that feels authentic, engaging, and culturally resonant.

Buyers are also becoming much more strategic in how they acquire content, balancing exclusivity with flexibility, and thinking carefully about how titles can perform across different windows and platforms.

Overall, it’s a very thoughtful and curated approach. It’s not just about finding great content, but about finding the right content that aligns with their brand, their audience, and their long-term strategy.

Are you seeing a preference for returning, proven titles versus new launches in the region? How does this influence your strategy this year?

Proven IP will always be incredibly valuable in the region. These are titles that have already demonstrated success and come with an established audience, which makes them a very safe and attractive option for buyers.

At the same time, we’re seeing growing interest in limited series and even films, particularly as viewing habits continue to evolve across platforms. Audiences are consuming content in very different ways depending on where they are watching, so buyers are looking to build more diverse and flexible slates.

Because of that, many partners are actively looking for a mix, returning titles that provide consistency, alongside fresh, compelling new stories that can attract attention and bring something new to their offering.

What remains consistent across both is the demand for stories that truly resonate. Content that speaks to audiences, feels relevant, and connects on an emotional level continues to be key in the Latin American market.

Which specific markets within Latin America are driving the most demand for international drama?

We’re increasingly seeing buyers approach acquisitions with a pan-regional mindset, looking for content that can travel well across multiple territories in Latin America and perform at scale. That said, for many buyers, Mexico and Brazil continue to be key markets in the region in terms of both volume and often play a central role in shaping broader content strategies.

Looking ahead to the rest of the year, what are your expectations for the LATAM market in terms of demand, budgets, and content preferences?

Looking ahead, we expect the market to remain active, but also selective. Budgets continue to be more disciplined, so buyers are being increasingly strategic and focused on titles that can deliver real impact.

There’s a strong emphasis on content that feels premium, distinctive, and easy to position, whether through well-known talent, strong storytelling, or clear audience appeal.

We also anticipate continued interest in content that can work across different windows and platforms, as flexibility is becoming more important in how partners build and program their slates.

Ultimately, we see a market that is evolving in a very thoughtful way. Demand is there, but it’s about precision, finding the right stories, for the right audiences, at the right moment.

ITV Studios has appointed Jemma Harvey as Executive Vice President of Sales and Distribution for EMEA and the United Kingdom, the company confirmed Thursday from London. Harvey will report directly to Tom Clark, EVP of Global Sales and Commercial Strategy, and steps into the position after leading the EMEA catalog sales team on an interim basis for the past five months.

In her new role, Harvey will oversee the sales teams across the region and drive the strategic distribution of a catalog spanning more than 100,000 hours of content. Her responsibilities will include managing relationships with global streaming platforms and local broadcasters, developing co-production opportunities with key clients, and maximizing the value of the portfolio across both digital and linear platforms.

An Executive With a Track Record

Harvey joined ITV Studios in July 2022 as SVP of Global Scripted Content, and steadily expanded her responsibilities in international co-production strategy. Notable deals from that period include Winter with PBS Masterpiece, Ludwig and Code of Silence with BritBox, The Forsytes with Channel 5, and agreements for The Hack with Arte and Ludwig with ZDF across the European market.

Before ITV, Harvey spent 20 years at BBC Studios, where she rose to SVP of Sales and Co-Productions for the Americas, based in New York. Her tenure at the British public broadcaster included high-profile co-production deals such as I May Destroy You (HBO), His Dark Materials (HBO), and The End of the F***ing World (Netflix), as well as a nine-figure multi-year output deal with HBO Max and package agreements with Amazon, Hulu, and Netflix.

Reactions to the Announcement

“She has already proven herself to be an exceptional commercial leader, and her deep expertise in international financing, co-productions, and sales makes her the ideal candidate for this role,” said Tom Clark in confirming the appointment.

Harvey, for her part, said her priorities will be strengthening partnerships with broadcasters and platforms, expanding co-production opportunities, and maximizing the value of content across the region — all at a time when the UK and EMEA markets are “evolving rapidly.”

Her first public appearance in the new role will be at Series Mania, Europe’s leading television festival, taking place next week in Lille.

ITV Studios announces that the hit primetime celebrity game show Parents’ Evening is expanding internationally, with a brand-new commission by Atresmedia in Spain. The series will be produced locally by ITV Studios Iberia.

Hot on the heels of the announcement that the show has been recommissioned by ITV for a third season in the UK – returning for six episodes and a Christmas special – the format is now gaining significant international traction. The second UK series delivered a strong performance, with over two million viewers across all devices after 7 days, and ranked among the top 10 best performing game shows of 2025 on ITV1.

Created by Ranga Bee Productions, co-founded by Romesh Ranganathan, Parents’ Evening has become a firm favorite for its unique blend of family dynamics and comedy.
The international distribution success continues as ITV Studios also announces the acquisition of the exciting new Love Productions music entertainment format Your Song.

Your Song is a celebration of everyday people with extraordinary stories… and extraordinary voices. This isn’t a show about flashy performances or chasing fame; it’s about authenticity and about songs that have real meaning to the singers. Around the country, amateur singers step onto our iconic travelling stage not for competition, but for connection. Each performer shares a song that is uniquely personal to them, with our host on hand to help explore each special and moving story.

Watching on are two musical mentors, huge stars in their own right, who will select which of our singers will go through to the Grand Final: an incredible concert that celebrates the performers’ journeys, their voices, and the power of music to bring people together.

Parents’ Evening and Your Song are both distributed internationally by ITV Studios.

ITV Studios unveiled its full London TV Screenings slate, featuring six groundbreaking formats, 12 star-studded dramas (on top of 21 returners), and 34 compelling non-scripted titles.

Groundbreaking Formats

The formats slate is filled with new genre-defining reality shows including The Neighbourhood (produced by Lifted Entertainment and The Garden for ITV), a groundbreaking entertainment format, hosted by the brilliant BAFTA- award- winning broadcaster Graham Norton, which sees families and households compete in a street-sized reality game, battling it out for the chance to take home a life-changing cash prize.

Only the last household standing will win the prize money. With Graham guiding the action, the power shifts episode by episode as the neighbours work out who to keep on side and whose property to put up for sale. It’s reality living with game play at its heart – and drama behind every front door.

The Heat (produced by Twofour) which launches on February 24th on ITV2, is a new reality format packed with drama and clashing chefs in sun-soaked Barcelona.

Hosted by Olivia Attwood, this format turns up the pressure on a group of driven young chefs living, working, and competing in Jean-Christophe Novelli’s kitchen. It’s a fierce culinary contest by day, but the drama spills over at night as romances, rivalries, and ego-clashes fuel the tension. When the professional becomes personal, there is no escaping The Heat.

Lastly, an ambitious bold social experiment is here with Apocalypse (The Garden for Channel 4 and ITV Studios Australia for Foxtel Binge).

16 ordinary people are abandoned in a real-world location ravaged by an apocalyptic event. With no running water, heating, or electricity for 28 days, they must scavenge and survive. In the face of scarce resources, will this group of strangers band together or fall apart?

Star-studded Drama

The scripted slate is led by the forthcoming hot new drama, from the acclaimed, award-winning producers of I May Destroy You, Two Weeks in August (8×60, produced by Various Artists Limited for BBC, in association with ITV Studios).

Two Weeks in August is a riveting story of a woman who goes on holiday with her family and friends to rediscover joy in her life, only to find that an illicit kiss quickly turns the dream vacation into a nightmare. With a stellar cast including Jessica Raine, Nicholas Pinnock, Antonia Thomas, Damien Molony, Leila Farzad and Hugh Skinner, this holiday in paradise becomes a reckoning for a group of adults who refuse to grow up. When they discover they are trapped on the island, and become faced with real life-or-death situations, the group soon turn on each other to find out who is to blame.

The scripted slate also includes the powerful thriller The Rapture (5×60 or 6×60, from Mammoth Screen for BBC).

Adapted from Liz Jensen’s bestselling novel, The Rapture is a high-stakes thriller which crackles with danger. Set in a heatwave, with protestors on the streets, forensic psychologist Gabs Fox starts a new job at a high-security psychiatric hospital where she meets 17-year-old Bethany Krall. Bethany was convicted of murdering her mother but claims she is innocent. She is estranged from her father Leonard, who is the charismatic leader of an influential religious movement.

Bethany tells Gabs that she has psychic powers and can predict the future – but what will it take for Gabs to believe her? And if Bethany didn’t kill her mother, then who did? Featuring an all-star cast including Ruth Madeley, India Amarteifio, Sam Hazeldine, Jack Farthing, Iwan Rheon and Ruth Jones.

Also new to the slate is the action packed drama series Invisible (8×50, from Scene 23 for M-Net), adapted by Amy Jephta from Deon Meyer’s acclaimed novel Blood Safari, starring Abbie Cornish, Dougray Scott and Tim Theron.

In South Africa’s Kruger National Park, a mysterious killer begins executing local poachers. As the body count rises, Inspector Jack Phatudi is drawn into a dangerous manhunt to unmask the vigilante. At the same time, Dekker – a former bodyguard with a haunted past – is hired to protect Emma, a South African expat who returns home to search for her brother who she believes is still alive, despite his disappearance 30 years ago. When Phatudi’s investigation collides with Emma and Dekker’s quest, they uncover a buried conspiracy reaching back to the political assassination of a pivotal African leader. As powerful forces close in, all three are forced to confront an explosive truth – one that could rewrite history, and that others will kill to keep hidden.

The Party (5×60, from World Productions for ITV) is a smart, suspenseful thriller based on the bestselling novel by author Elizabeth Day, and starring Luke Evans as Martin Gilmour, a journalist shaped by his lifelong friendship with wealthy and charismatic politician Ben Fitzmaurice, played by Tom Cullen.

Raised alone by his working-class mum, Sylvia, portrayed by BAFTA award-winning Joanna Scanlan, Martin wins a scholarship to an elite boarding school, where he first meets Ben. They forge an unbreakable bond, as Ben and the Fitzmaurice family give Martin the sense of belonging he always craved. In turn, Martin remains unflinchingly loyal to Ben and his family through even the greatest crises.

Three decades on, Martin is invited to Ben’s lavish birthday party as news of the leader of his political party’s resignation threatens to accelerate Ben’s intention to stand and run for Prime Minister. But Martin fears the publicity that Ben’s bid would bring, dredging up the secrets of their past with tragic consequences.

This striking and enthralling drama, written by and co-starring Sarah Solemani, and with an all-star ensemble cast also including Lydia Leonard, Douglas Hodge and Lindsay Duncan, moves between the shocking events of the party itself, and the police investigation that follows, with flashbacks to Martin and Ben’s past life at school, university and beyond.

What unfolds is a gripping exploration of identity, privilege and devotion, combined with a tender ode to anyone who has fought to live authentically.

From Ben Stephenson’s Poison Pen Studios, two new titles are coming to screen. Adultery (6×60, for ITV), is penned by acclaimed screenwriter Danny Brocklehurst. This sizzling, captivating drama introduces audiences to Tom and Beth, whose teenage kids – Tom’s daughter Jess and Beth’s son Ollie – are love’s young dream in an all-consuming teenage romance. But when Tom and Beth meet for the first time, and sparks fly, the two families’ lives are turned upside down forever. Will Tom and Beth be able to control their desires, unlike their lovestruck teenagers?

Starring Dominic Cooper, Romola Garai, Shelley Conn, and Matthew McNulty, the series raises questions about class, grief, romance, relationships and the effects of social media, as it embarks on a rollercoaster story of passion, parenthood and peril, with Tom and Beth’s intense and powerful love affair threatening to uproot their whole lives and destroy everything they have built and care about.

Also new is atmospheric crime thriller The Dark (6×60, for ITV), based on G.R. Halliday’s globally successful series of Detective Inspector Monica Kennedy novels, starring Laura Donnelly, Mark Rowley, Emun Elliott and Helen Baxendale. When the body of a young man is found eerily staged in the idyllic Scottish wilderness, Detective Inspector Kennedy, played by Laura Donnelly, fears this is just the beginning of a terrifying campaign that will strike the heart of a rural community. As paranoia rises, suspicions and secrets are forced into the light, and the locals start to realise that there is a serial killer hidden amongst them.

With her experience of dealing with the darkest of humanity, Monica quickly becomes entangled in a heightened game of cat and mouse with a cunning killer. Only she can stop this monster before he claims more victims. But when her past creeps up on her, she begins to lose trust in her own judgement. Will her own history and actions become the biggest risk to herself, her family and her community?

Also new to the scripted slate is The Killings At Parrish Station (6×60, from Helium Pictures for STAN), a series which sees cold case crime and thriller collide, with an all-star cast including Mia Wasikowska, Heather Mitchell, Xavier Samuel, Robert Taylor, and Alan Dale.

In The Killings At Parrish Station a cosmic mystery intertwines with a crime investigation across two time periods, as a gruesome massacre at a remote research station amidst the searing heat and red rocks of the Gibson’s desert plunges a detective into an inexplicable, decades-long riddle. It’s 1987, and Detective Georgia Cooke is called in to investigate the massacre of four scientists who have been brutally murdered in inexplicable ways, with a lone survivor the obvious suspect. But as Georgia digs deeper, unravelling a complex case entangled in mania and conspiracy amidst the soundwaves picked up by the research station, her obsessive quest for the truth spirals into a reckoning that will put her family, career, and sanity on the line.

Thirty-seven years later, a chilling new spate of murders, eerily similar to the original 1987 case, will pull Georgia back into the nightmare as she confronts the terrifying possibility that the horrors at Parrish Station were never fully buried and the past may be destined to repeat itself.

And finally, from the multi-award-winning screenwriter and producer Russell T Davies, and the team behind hit series It’s A Sin, Tip Toe (5×60, from Quay Street Productions for Channel 4), is a powerfully resonant new original drama which follows Leo and Clive who live next door to each other in Manchester, starring Alan Cumming and David Morrissey.

Leo runs a bar on Canal Street, Clive’s an electrician, with two teenage sons. But just as life should be settling down, the world around them is growing more tense. Words become weapons, opinions become radicalised, and gradually, two neighbours become deadly enemies in a tense, suburban thriller which challenges everything we consider to be safe. The series, populated with a cast of vibrant characters and underscored with Davies’ trademark wit and deft humour, is an urgent yet gripping tale that brings a spotlight to bear on the re-emergence of an incipient threat.

Compelling Non-Scripted

The non-scripted slate offers an exploration of the world around us with two landmark natural history series.

Force of Nature (6×60, from Plimsoll Productions for ITV and ARD Group Germany), formerly entitled Extreme Earth, is a groundbreaking series filmed over three years, revealing how nature is fighting back against today’s extreme weather. Witness the scale and ferocity of nature’s most powerful forces – from hurricanes and flash floods to droughts and bushfires – and discover the ingenious ways nature endures, adapts and prevails against these new extremes. Through the eyes of heroic animal characters, this heartfelt, dramatic and inspiring series shows how the natural world is rising to the challenge. There has never been a more pressing and relevant natural history series.

Also on the slate is Ages of Ice (3×60, produced by Northern Pictures for PBS and ABC Australia), which follows the brave scientists pushing the boundaries of exploration and human endeavour in Earth’s coldest corners to understand the changes of ice and what this means for our planet’s future. In the unforgiving grip of our planet’s polar regions, the series will follow these modern-day explorers as they try to understand how the fate of every place and every creature on our planet is tied to these frozen extremes.

New to the slate is the insightful show AI Confidential (3×60, from Curious Films for BBC) about the untold stories of AI and its potential impact on the modern world.

As the show’s presenter, broadcaster and mathematician Prof Hannah Fry will meet the people whose lives have been impacted by this technology in huge ways – from falling in love with an AI chatbot, to life and death decisions made by robots, to the people whose lives have been upended by Silicon Valley corporations.

Taking a deep-dive into some of the most extraordinary human stories emerging from the world of AI, meeting key individuals whose lives have been transformed by this new technology for better or for worse, and investigating everything from ‘grief tech’ to driverless cars, this hugely entertaining and deeply enlightening new series will see Hannah grapple with some of the most important questions of our time, through some of the most thrilling untold stories of recent years.

The slate also offers a new criminal history series, Murder Map (5×60, produced by Two Rivers and Soho Studios).

Star of Line of Duty and Trigger Point Vicky McClure and husband Jonny Owen, a film maker and historian, travel the UK exploring historic, culturally significant crimes that have changed the face of modern Britain.

From unsolved murders, to miscarriages of justice or milestone cases that have changed the law; each episode features Vicky and Jonny doing a deep dive into each case speaking to victims families, experts, historians and Police officers to investigate the lasting impact each murder has left on the community.

Also on the non-scripted slate is Unbreakable: The Jelena Dokic Story (1×90, from Roadshow Productions for Nine Network).

Unbreakable is not just a tennis story. It’s the story of Jelena Dokic’s survival, of her overcoming extraordinary odds, and of her ultimate triumph in the face of poverty, bullying and extreme brutality. It’s about how she survived as a refugee, twice. How she survived on the tennis court as she ascended to become world No.4. But most importantly, how she survived the unimaginable abuse by Damir Dokic, her violent father and coach. It’s a story of growing up – never being alone, but always lonely. Ultimately, it’s the story of how the tennis world and a nation of fans chose to look away when Jelena needed them most. The question is…why?

And finally, hosted by the BAFTA award-winning television presenter Claudia Winkleman, is her new chat show The Claudia Winkleman Show (7×50, from So Television for BBC).

From the production company behind the hugely successful and multi award-winning The Graham Norton Show, each episode will see Claudia, who is best known for co-presenting Strictly Come Dancing and hosting The Traitors, welcome the biggest names from the worlds of film, television, music and beyond to her sofa for lively conversation with the help of a studio audience.

ITV Studios and Television New Zealand (TVNZ), New Zealand’s largest television network, announce the renewal of their long-standing exclusive content partnership.

The multi-year deal, brokered by Augustus Dulgaro, EVP, Asia Pacific at ITV Studios, Harry Seward, Senior Sales Manager and Anthony Sonego, Senior Legal Manager, extends the successful relationship between the two broadcasters, ensuring TVNZ remains the home of ITV Studios’ extensive catalogue of premium drama, non-scripted, and entertainment programming for New Zealand audiences.

Under the renewed agreement, TVNZ will continue to have exclusive first-look access to ITV Studios’ upcoming slate of scripted and non-scripted programmes. The deal guarantees that fans in New Zealand will continue to enjoy their favourite long-running soaps, Coronation Street and Emmerdale, as well as the hit quiz show The Chase.

Another key highlight of the renewal is a significant commitment to the Love Island franchise. The agreement secures the future of the global phenomenon on TVNZ, including Love Island UK, Love Island USA, Love Island Australia, as well as the spin-off Love Island Games and Love Island All Stars – ensuring fans have access to the complete Love Island universe.

Augustus Dulgaro said: “We are thrilled to continue this long-standing partnership with TVNZ. In addition to having a simpatico working relationship with the team, together we have evolved and built this deal to the powerhouse it is today, with around 1500 hours of ITV content launching across TVNZ’s platform annually. It’s gratifying to know that our key brands and upcoming slate will have the best launch platform in New Zealand for many years to come.”

Josh Wolfe, TVNZ’s General Manager, Commercial said: “It’s fantastic to continue our longstanding partnership with ITV. This deal ensures TVNZ remains the home of premium international entertainment in Aotearoa, from long-running favourites like Coronation Street to the complete Love Island franchise and an exciting slate of new dramas. ITV Studios’ content consistently connects with Kiwi audiences, and we look forward to continuing to deliver their very best to our viewers.”

TVNZ has acquired around 13,000 hours of content from ITV Studios over the last decade. The most recent premium scripted acquisitions include four new dramas: The Forsytes, from Mammoth Screen; The Hack, from AC Chapter One and One Shoe Films; The Guest, from Nicola Shindler’s Quay Street Productions; and Coldwater, from SISTER. Also acquired are Code of Silence from Mammoth Screen; season two of Ludwig, from Big Talk Studios; and the second season of Piglets, from Monicker Pictures. Acquisitions coming up for 2026 include Run, a high octane new 1980s/90’s crime drama based on infamous Australian bank robber Brenden Abbott from Warner Bros. International Television Production Australia and Missed Call, a gripping investigative thriller about a mother’s desperate search for her missing daughter from Pernel Media.

From ITV Studios’ coveted non-scripted slate, TVNZ has recently secured the age-gap reality travel show Worlds Apart from South Shore; gripping two-part documentary Poisoned from Wonderhood Studios; the adrenaline-fuelled entertainment shows Shark: Celebrity Infested Waters from Plimsoll Productions; and TV’s quickest quiz Time is Money from South Shore. TVNZ have also acquired new series of both Unbelievable Moments Caught on Camera from MultiStory Media and Parents Evening from Ranga Bee Productions.

As previously announced, Augustus Dulgaro will step away from his current role as EVP APAC Sales at the end of March 2026, when he will be replaced by Moira Hogan.
