The distributor announced new adaptations and renewals of Mentorn Media’s entertainment formats across France, Poland, the Netherlands and Scandinavia, with new seasons scheduled to premiere in 2027.

Passion Distribution has announced new milestones for three entertainment and reality formats from its sister company Mentorn Media: Most Identical, Paradise Hotel and Worst Driver, which continue to expand internationally through local adaptations and new seasons.

In France, Most Identical is heading back for a second local adaptation, with broadcaster and streaming platform M6 commissioning a two-part special. Coyote Conseil will produce the show, which is currently in production. A premiere date has yet to be announced.

Originally launched on BBC1 in 2003, the format has been adapted in eight territories, including the US, Australia, Germany, France, Belgium, Spain, Hungary and the Netherlands. The show brings together 100 pairs of twins who compete in a series of entertaining challenges and scientifically designed tests to determine the country’s most identical pair.

Paradise Hotel Adds New Seasons Across Europe

Meanwhile, Paradise Hotel continues to expand its international footprint. In Poland, TVN has commissioned a 14th season of the local adaptation, produced by Golden Media in a new location to be announced soon. The format has become a fixture on TVN7’s schedule and a key title for HBO Max in the country, where it has ranked as the streamer’s No. 1 unscripted series.

In the Netherlands, RTL has renewed Paradise Hotel Netherlands for a third season on its streaming platform Videoland. The new 18-episode installment will be filmed in Thailand in fall 2026 and is scheduled to premiere in 2027.

The format also maintains a strong presence across Scandinavia, where it has remained on air for 20 years. New local seasons have recently premiered in Denmark (Season 22), Sweden (Seasons 18 and 19) and Norway (Season 18), all produced in Mexico.

According to Passion Distribution, Paradise Hotel regularly ranks among Viaplay’s most-watched non-sports titles in Norway, tops unscripted rankings in Denmark and has set a record for new subscriber numbers on the platform in Sweden.

Originally launched on Fox in the US in 2003, the reality competition brings together a group of singles at a luxury hotel, where they compete to find love and win a cash prize. Combining romance with strategic gameplay, the format has been adapted in more than 15 territories and has generated over 4,300 episodes.

Worst Driver Renewed in the Netherlands

The latest development for Mentorn Media is the renewal of Worst Driver Netherlands, with a 13th season receiving the green light. The reality competition puts drivers nominated by friends and family through increasingly demanding challenges to determine who deserves the title of the country’s worst driver.

First launched on Channel 5 in the UK in 2002, the format has been adapted in 21 territories, including the US, Canada, Australia, Germany and Sweden, with more than 700 episodes produced to date. Its Canadian adaptation became one of the country’s longest-running unscripted series and consistently ranked among Discovery’s highest-rated shows.

Hannah Wyatt, CEO of Tinopolis Unscripted UK, highlighted the enduring appeal of the three formats and their ability to connect with audiences across generations. She noted that their strong foundations in universal themes and quirky questions make them evergreen properties that can be adapted to different markets.

Nick Tanner, Director of Sales and Co-Productions at Passion Distribution, said the formats’ strength lies in their combination of attention-grabbing premises, clear gameplay mechanics and flexibility across territories. He also emphasized their ability to engage audiences across platforms and generate social media conversation, reinforcing their value to buyers seeking proven formats with long-term potential.
