The plot recorded an average of one million viewers per episode, reinforcing Latin American viewers’ identification with Brazilian stories.

The original work, broadcast for the first time in 2004, was written by Aguinaldo Silva, one of the most important authors in Brazilian television, responsible for classics such as Anything Goes, Tieta, and Roque Santeiro.

With iconic characters that jumped off the screen and became pop culture references, Her Own Destiny is remembered as one of the greatest telenovelas of the 21st century.

The international adaptation is the result of an agreement between Globo, América Multimedia, and Del Barrio Producciones, combining the creative power, reach, and expertise of the three companies. The partnership also plans for the adaptation of two more Globo telenovelas, with titles yet to be confirmed.

The original format from Abot Hameiri and Dori Media, with Kapow and Open Kimono, made its debut this Sunday on the Peruvian network.

Dori Media Group & Abot Hameiri’s original new game show The Auction made its debut this weekend on América Televisión in Peru (local name, La Subasta), marking the first market to broadcast the new format, it was announced today by Dori Media CEO Nadav Palti.

Owned by Abot Hameiri and Dori Media in collaboration with América Televisión, Kapow and Open Kimono and produced in Perú by America Estudios, The Auction made its global debut Sunday on América Television, the nation’s top-rated network. Dori Media is handling all worldwide sales of the series.

The Auction pits two teams of five family members against each other, in a fun and suspenseful auction setting. Each team is given an equal budget and looks to acquire prizes with the highest value, all while trying to reach the final and win the show’s grand prize.

Earlier this week, Dori Media’s new action drama AMIA was given a star-studded kickoff ahead of its debut launch on Telefe and Flow in Argentina. The 8-episode series, which stars Michael Aloni and Malena Sanchez, was inspired by the 1990’s terror attacks on the Israeli Embassy and against the Argentinian Jewish community. AMIA, which is produced by Dori Media and Yair Dori and distributed by Dori Media, made its worldwide debut in February on Israel’s Reshet 13.

Brazil Avenue is one of Globo’s best-selling titles and was nominated for the International Emmy Award for Best Telenovela in 2013.

One of Globo’s biggest telenovela hits, Brazil Avenue, is now airing in Peru. Through a partnership with TV Latina, one of the country’s leading free-to-air channels, the show premiered at the end of May.

Recently, Globo partnered with Amazon Prime to stream the telenovela across all Latin American countries (excluding Brazil). Last year, Brazil Avenue received its first international adaptation.

As part of an unprecedented agreement between Globo and Ay Yapim, Turkey’s leading telenovela producer, the adaptation was titled Leyla.

Brazil Avenue tells the story of Nina (Débora Falabella), a young orphan seeking justice. As a child, she lost everything in a scheme devised and carried out by her stepmother, Carminha (Adriana Esteves). Years later, having rebuilt her life, Nina returns to confront her past and take on her enemy. The cast also includes Murilo Benício, Marcos Caruso, Eliane Giardini, among others.

Last Monday, the General Manager of América Televisión, Fernando Muñiz Betancourt, announced the launch of “América Multimedia” during an event that included the participation of journalist and writer Andrés Oppenheimer.

One of the most popular children’s series in the region, the Argentinean show El payaso Plim Plim leads the Parrot Analytics ranking of the most demanded series in Peru for the week of December 4 to 10, with 13.11 times more demand than the average series.

The series is also one of several latin titles on the list, with Peru’s De vuelta al barrio in third place (10.9x), and Mexico’s La rosa de Guadalupe (fourth place, 10.7x), El corazón nunca se equivoca (sixth, 9.9x) and the reality show Shark Tank Mexico (tenth, 9.1x).

The list is completed by Bob Zoom (second place, 12.7x), The Simpsons (fifth, 10x), Chainsaw Man (seventh, 9.6x), Masha and the Bear (9.4x), and Wednesday (ninth, 9, 2x).

Regarding the most demanded digital series in the country, Wednesday, from Netflix, leads the list, followed by the series Stranger Things (7.6x) and Warrion Nun (5.4x), also from Netflix, closing the podium.

In fourth place is The Boys (4.4x) from Amazon Prime Video, followed by Willow (3.7x) from Disney+ and 1899 (3.4x), also from Amazon Prime Video.

In seventh place stands out the only Hispanic series on the list, the Spanish drama El día de mañana, by Movistar+, with 3 times more demand.
