Francisco Ramos, VP of Originals for Netflix in LatAm and Spain, revealed the original Mexican productions the platform is launching this year, including 9 series (6 new ones and 3 renewals), 3 films and 2 shows.

A year ago, Netflix revealed its impressive bet on Mexican talent, announcing over 50 local projects all in different stages of development for 2019 and 2020.

And now, Francisco Ramos, VP of Originals at Netflix for LatAm and Spain, offered a play by play of the new Mexican shows coming in 2020.

“The stories that Mexico has to tell are as diverse as our country and its people. We are committed to investing in the local creative community,” he said.

SERIES

Desenfrenadas. Starring Tessa Ia, Bárbara López, Lucía Uribe and Coty Camacho. Four friends with very different personalities begin a journey in which they lose their way. their goal is the search for freedom and self-discovery. Written and directed by Diego Martínez Ulanosky, it will be available on the platform from this Friday, February 28.

Control Z. Starring Ana Valeria Becerril, Michael Ronda, Andrés Baida, Macarena García and Yankel Stevan. It tells the story of Sofia, a highly applied high school student but with little social life, who will try to stop a hacker who threatens everyone at school with revealing her secrets on social networks.

Madre solo hay dos. Starring Ludwika Paleta, Paulina Goto, Martín Altomaro, Oka Giner, Liz Gallardo and Javier Ponce. Two completely different women collide with each other when they discover that their babies were accidentally switched at birth.

Oscuro deseo. Starring Maite Perroni.
