Many companies dream of a moment like the one Madd Entertainment orchestrated last night in Cannes, during a cocktail that closed the second day of Mipcom 2023, in which the Turkish distributor announced multiple top-line deals with big players, many related to Latam, that will generate enormous impact over the coming years.

Globo, Paramount, The Mediapro Studios, Secuoya Studios and Cris Morena have opted to partner with the Turkish distributor, still young, formed just five years ago by production giants such as Medyapim and Ay Yapim.

After conquering more than 140 countries, Avenida Brasil, João Emanuel Carneiro’s masterpiece will have its first adaptation. The agreement between Globo and Ay Yapım, from Turkey, contemplates the sale of the Avenida Brasil format, in which the Turkish company will be able to promote adaptations, maintaining the successful premises of the soap opera.

Ay Yapim is Turkey’s leading drama production company and is in charge of the country’s most watched soap operas, such as Fatmagul, Forbidden Love!, Endless Love, Black Money Love and Family Secrets, which also had an international impact. The new version will also have the artistic advice of Estúdios Globo. Madd will distribute the content globally.

“Madd already has a proven repertoire of titles that have brought audiences to the screen. And now, with the Turkish adaptation of Avenida Brasil, we will have more to offer. It will bring a lot of excitement to the market. The fact that it is a partnership between Globo and Ay Yapım is also a privilege for us,” said Ateş İnce, CEO of Madd Entertainment.

In relation to The Mediapro Studios, the first content to be produced by the joint venture created with Medyapim was announced: a co-production in Spanish of the ultra-successful Feriha’s Secret

Along the same lines, Ay Yapim will co-produce with Secuoya Studios a Spanish version of the series Brave and Beautiful (2018). The series will be seen on Atresmedia and will be distributed by Madd.

Madd also announced that she closed a deal with Argentine producer and celebrity, Cris Morena, to distribute Margarita, the 40-episode series that follows Floricienta‘s story.

In the case of Paramount Cono Sur, Madd announced multiple agreements with the programmer, with the presence on stage of Mercedes Feu, Senior Director of Acquisitions for Paramount’s Southern Cone and Özlem Özsümbül, Head of Sales at Madd Entertainment.
