FlixLatino, a leading Spanish-language streaming platform in the U.S. and Puerto Rico, announced the launch of its new free ad-supported streaming (AVOD) service, significantly expanding access to free Spanish-language entertainment.
The new offering which does not share any content with FlixLatino’s premium service, includes over 10,000 hours of content, featuring 250+ movies and 20 FAST channels through partnerships with major content providers including TV Azteca, Caracol Televisión, RCN Televisión, and Cine en Español.
Riding the Growth of Free Streaming Among U.S. Hispanics
While maintaining the premium SVOD service with the latest and greatest content in Spanish, the AVOD and FAST offers FlixLatino a broader reach. The launch comes at a time when free streaming is rapidly gaining traction among Hispanic audiences: Hispanic viewers are more likely than the general market to watch FAST channels, driven by mobile-first and value-conscious consumption habits; and AVOD consumption among Hispanics has grown at a double-digit annual rate, outpacing subscription streaming growth.
Expanding Access to Quality Spanish Content
The AVOD service introduces a curated mix of films, series, and live channels, allowing users to stream without a subscription. Viewers will have access to a wide variety of genres, including drama, comedy, thrillers, and family content.
FAST Channels from Leading Latin American Broadcasters
The platform’s 20 FAST channels provide a lean-back viewing experience similar to traditional TV, featuring continuous programming from leading Latin American networks, including novelas, movies, and entertainment content.
