Animated series Petit, from Chile; the Brazilian edition of The Voice Kids; and the Argentine live-action series, Nivis: Friends from Another World, will compete in this year’s event, which will take place online on October 12 during MIP Junior.

Nominations for the International Emmy Kids Awards were announced today by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

There are 12 Nominees across 3 categories, spanning 11 countries: Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, France, Jordan, the Netherlands, the Philippines, South Korea, and the United Kingdom.

This year’s, three nominees from Latin America stand out: Chilean series Petit (Pájaro, NonStop, Pakapaka, Señal Colombia) will compete in the Animation category.

Meanwhile, the Brazilian edition of The Voice Kids (Globo, ITV Studios, John de Mol) will compete in the Factual and Entertainment category.

Lastly, Argentina’s Nivis Amigos de otro mundo (Buena Vista International, Metrovision, Non Stop Digital) will compete in the Live-Action category.

“Children see and learn much of what they know of the world through the stories and characters they watch on television,” said Bruce Paisner, President & CEO of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. “We congratulate the Nominees for their outstanding talent in entertaining and educating young viewers worldwide on a diversity of topics that impact their everyday life.”

Winners will be announced during an online presentation on Tuesday October 12, 2021 at 9 am ET on the International Academy’s website.
