The Talpa format will be adapted in Spain by Globomedia for Antena 3, which will air it under the local title El juego de los anillos.

Atresmedia announced it will adapt the Talpa Media format, 5 Gold Rings, in Spain, which will air on Antena 3 as El juego de los anillos.

The adaptation will be developed by Globomedia (The Mediapro Studio) and comes as part of the deal signed between Atresmedia and Talpa at the last Miptv for the acquisition of three formats (Trouble with the Neighbours and Home Alone were the other two).

Atresmedia also previously acquired The Voice and Around the World with 80 Year Olds.

The Spanish version of 5 Gold Rings will be hosted by Jorge Fernandez, former host of The Wheel of Fortune for 13 years.

Spain joins other countries like Australia, France, Greece, Israel, Russia, the US, Vietnam, Thailand and Saudi Arabia, which have also acquired the format.

5 Gold Rings is the connected game show in which every pixel counts. A huge interactive LED floor projects amazing animated pictures that are the base of each question.

Players need to put the rings on the correct answer, but the rings become smaller throughout the game, making it even more challenging – whilst the difficulty level of the questions remains the same.

Antena 3 Bets on Entertainment

El juego de los anillos is just Atresmedia’s latest bet on entertainment and big formats, joining others that will soon premiere such as Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, The Container or Around the World with 80 Years Olds; in addition to the already premiered The Voice, El hormiguero, Boom! and Wheel of Fortune.
