However, plans change due to the tragic death of the child. The young woman and her family flee to start a new life in distant lands. Written by International Emmy-winners Thelma Guedes and Duca Rachid, the series was recently nominated for the Rose d’Or Awards 2019 in the Soaps and Telenovelas category. The production benefited from a technical partnership with the UN Agency for Refugees to portray the refugee camp, making real uniforms and tents from humanitarian operations available for the shoot.

The cast features Syrian refugee Kaysar Dadour, who brought an added authenticity to his character. The screening is scheduled for 7.45am on Thursday 21 November.

The sixth edition of MIP Cancun will welcome more than 900 delegates during three days of business opportunities with the Distribution Market and Co-Production Forum.
